It is the birthstone for the month of December and the 11th wedding anniversary stone. Turquoise is on of the most popular bead gemstones and it is very common to be used in necklaces and other jewelry. The very best Turquoise comes from Iran but most of it comes from America and Mexico now. It is one of the oldest known gemstones. Turquoise is believed to help pain and cramps and has anti-inflammatory and detoxifying effects.
