Amethyst
Amethyst is a member of the Quartz group and comes in different shades of purple. The more rich the color purple, the more valuable it is. The "Siberian" purple has flashes of deep red and blue and this commands the most value. Violet and a lighter red-violet are also colors of the Amethyst stone. It is the accepted birthstone for February and zodiac sign Pisces. Amethyst energies are Power, Protection and Healing.
