Making a lot out of a little space

My daughters room happens to be on the small side. It stretches a few feet past the bed where the door is. I decided when we moved in that I wasn't going to let that get in the way of giving her an adorable room on a budget! When we began the room itself was not real pretty so thankfully my old man is a contractor! I had him put on his red cape and help save this room.
We first had to paint it but you will  notice I did 3 colors and chair rail? Yep that's what I chose! I was told by another contractor it wouldn't look good doing those big squares. I new it would so I did what I felt was best and as you can see it looks really good. Plus I always get compliments on it.
The decals of the kitties and bed spread were all bought on Ebay and that sheer that makes everything look so elegant was from Wal Mart! The pink dream catcher was from The dollar store, yep that's right, The dollar store. Point is, is it doesn't have to cost a fortune to make a little girl have her dream room. As you can see my little girl looks pretty happy.

My new Simply shabby Comforter

Whats better than staying warm in a new comforter in the cold winter months? Staying warm in a sweet, Simply Shabby Comforter! I found this gem on Ebay after searching countless pages looking for the right bedding for my taste. There is hundreds of shabby style comforters out there but I wanted something shabby but not over done shabby. So when I stumbled on this gem I got excited! Here is a pic of the new bedding I bought. Isn't it adorable?

Although my walls are a cream color I almost think I prefer the cream to a pattern on this one. It looks fabulous...

Amazing Shabby Pic from the Not so shabby Chic!

Something else I will be doing on here is reviewing other pretty websites that I feel are worthy. One website I came across is great for the shabby chic addict! Its called The not so shabby, shabby chic! Pretty clever huh? I am amazed at the fat she is 24 and has such skill with her rooms. They are breath taking. The bedroom is great, I cant imagine going to sleep in that room and ever having a bad dream, that's for sure. Take a look at some of her work if you love shabby as much as I do.

Im excited to get my new....

Drill and saw? I know it might not sound so excited but it really is an awesome thing. Now that I have my new machines I am ready to make my upgraded sunburst mirror. Each hole for the wooden sticks is actually drilled in now instead of gluing onto the back of the mirror. This makes a very sturdy and professional mirror that could probley get tossed across the room and stay in one piece! The only thing I wasn't to excited about was using the drill and saw, but I gotta say it feels pretty empowering for a woman to use this heavy duty equipment! GO WOMAN GO!

Dont forget to wear safety glasses :)

Rosebud and Flowered Decor

If there is anything I love to make its my line of flowered decor for ladies, kids and nursery rooms. I use tiny rosebuds and cover different items like crown cutouts from top to bottom with lovely flowers. I am not going to lie, it takes a while to do but its enjoyable and the finished product is adorable. I call these items my shabby style decor. Its not vintage looking but all the pretty feminine flowers will give you that shabby style feel. So far the nigh lights and crosses seem to be a fan fav!

If you love these gifts like I do be sure to check them out in my store!  http://stores.ebay.com/Treasures81-Designs

New Gemstone Sunburst Mirrors!

Finally after trying to think of something that was completely unique I decided to create a new for of wall art or shall I say, Sunburst mirror! These are so pretty and are handmade. There is one big difference between mine and everyone else's mirrors though.... My mirrors are decorated with semi-precious stone of coarse.
I prefer to use Agate because of the wide color variety but it depends on the mirror. Some have many mixed stones and some just Agates or Turquoise. One thing I can tell you about these mirrors is every person that comes into my home wants to know where they can get one! They are so pretty. Check them out in my store:

Semi Precious Lanyards

Id and badge lanyards are popular with many professions due to their uniqueness and style. There is something for everyone! I just started using semi precious stones in my beaded lanyards because of their healing, balancing, and prosperous abilities. Adding some healing Agate or Amethyst stones to a beaded ID Badge for a nurse is a great way for her to express her desire to heal 9 and also be healed).
Depending on what you do for a living or what you like, I can make a lanyard with the stones you desire. It is also common to just do a mix of the different types of stones so you get the best of all worlds.
There is so many beautiful colors, shapes and sizes of semi precious stones, lanyards are a perfect gift for someone that appreciates something made just for their needs.
